Bronwyn's Birthday

This is a bit late, but Bronwyn's birthday was last Sunday. Being her first birthday, she got a lot of clothes and had little idea of what was going on; but she loved the attention and got a lot of cute outfits. After church, we had some friends over for some cake and ice cream. Happy 1st Birthday, Bronwyn!

Joey's Birthday Party

On the 11th, Erin held a party for my birthday. We invited seven couples over and had a "Ticket to Ride" tournament. The tournament was set up so that we had fifteen people playing at three separate tables and the top five scorers from those three games went on to the final game.

After we finished the preliminary games, we had a little cake and ice cream. Sang, blew out candles... I'm bummed out; Erin made a couple of layer cakes that she shaped into cubes and used Oreos to use as pips. I didn't take a picture of the Dice cakes that she made for me. Oh, well.

Going into the Finals, Erin was in first. Of the top five players that night, only one man moved on. Erin won the whole tournament, but was exempt from winning any prizes; so the second, third and fourth place players took home the prizes. While Erin battled it out in the finals, I led a game of Formula De, a F1 racing game. We had a great time and were so thankful that so many friends were able to celebrate with us.

Rhiannon's Birthday

Last Wednesday was Rhiannon's sixth birthday. We woke up and watched as Rhiannon opened her presents. Rhiannon received some craft kits, (a very little bit of) make-up, an art easel, a game (Hey! That's My Fish!), a sweater from Grandma Bybee, a charm bracelet and a Barbie Doll/DVD game-thingy.

When we asked Rhiannon where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner, she told us "IHOT (that's what she calls IHOP) for breakfast!" So we loaded up the van and had a bigger breakfast than I ever care to stomach. No one got the funnel cake. But I was able to drown my pancakes in boysenberry syrup and it made me homesick for Knott's.

After that we went home for a bit and then, later, we went to a matinee of "Ratatouille". What a great movie! We then went home had some Ice Cream cake and played "Hey! That's My Fish!"

A very fun day!

This is a test/Some catch-up photos

Here are some photos from the last little bit.

More to come. Oh, so much more to come!

Welcome!

Welcome all! This will be a family bulletin board for all events (past, present and future) of interest. If you are interested in contributing to this blog, please drop me a line or comment and I'll add you as a contributor.

A few ground rules.
- This is a family interest page, not a political rant page or religious proselytizing/vitriol sounding-board. Please keep your comments and topics "family related" and I think things will go smoothly.
- Ideally, this blog will have several contributors. A posting will be the property of the person who posted it. On a group blog, everyone has the ability to edit each others' entries. If you didn't post it, please don't edit/delete it. Period.

That's it. So what's up with you guys?
