Let's give it up for our Matt! Securely in his late-twenties now, everyone share your favorite Matt story!
My favorite Matt story is one that I wasn't even there for. Matt and Mark had just discovered the Valley of Lemuel, when they heard someone approaching them. I man that was living out there approached them with a length of chain. He asked Mark and Matt if they were interested in a "Five-dollar chain". Matt replied, "Sorry, I'm looking for a three-dollar chain."
However, I do enjoy hearing about shorty high-pockets, his Popeye casts and picturing the little sailor sitting in the toilet.
Happy Birthday Matt!

Happy B-Day
Happy Birthday!!
Darn! You beat me to it! I had a similar post all set up ready to go! When I was reading about some favorite Matt memories I thought about the time he met "mr. Jumprope", I still love that story!
Also I will never forget when we were in junior high and the big thing was dancing. I remember Matt was so excited to show me some of the new moves he'd learned. Boyz II Men-ABC-BBD!!! Talk about SKILLZ! Love you BRO.! Happy Gerbank!
First Happy Birthday!!!
And my first story is about the time that Matt was about 8 years old and a neighbor came down to the house on a Sunday morning about 9:00 am. We were all still in our pajamas and she knocked on the door with a group of neighbor children standing behind her. I answered the door with all of my children behind me. She proceeded to tell me that Matt had stood on her Sprinkler Control Box and broken it off of her block wall fence. I asked when he had done this and she said earlier that morning. I asked her who told her that Matt had done this. She pointed to a few of the children behind her. I told her that we never go out to play on a Sunday because that would be breaking the Sabbath and that as she could see we were all still in our pajamas. (This was also before people wore pajamas everywhere.) Anyway, I said that Matt could not possibly have done this and that the culprit was probably standing behind her. Thank you and have a nice day. Good-bye.
It was nice to be able to know unequivocally that Matt was innocent and be able to tell her that.
I was proud of Matt that day and am still proud of Matt every day.
Love, Mom
My other favorite memory is of Matt's Ziggy doll and how he used to 'feed' his doll.
Love ya, Matt!!
My next favorite story is about Matt at Disneyland when he got lost and it turned out he was lost up at the ribbon that they use to hold the crowd back until the park officially opens and then they pick some one from the crowd to cut the ribbon and let everyone in and the person to be picked that day was a little lost Matt. I guess he wasn't lost, apparently we were all lost. He knew exactly where he was all the time.
The thing I love about Matt is how much he likes those Folk-a-Chia sandwiches.
