What an eventful extended weekend. Becky invited us down to San Antonio for Ethan's Graduation and a military BMT graduation is something to behold! What energy! We got to meet Ethan's family and spend time together with Becky, the boys and Grandma. We had a lot of fun, played some games, went swimming, went to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. Ethan was baptized on Saturday morning. His Branch President felt that since Ethan had family here already that after the baptism it would be appropriate to ordain Ethan to the office of a priest. It was a wonderful experience.
A day's respite and Becky and the boys came up to Austin to stay with us for a day. This is the perfect time of year. It's cool, the blue bonnets are out (and those other pink and yellow wildflowers too, but I'm too manly to know what they're called.) Of course we had to take her to Rudy's.

Rudy's was sooo yummy, Thank you soooo much for being a part of everything but especially the baptism, it couldn't have been more special. Wasn't it so cool to see precision at it's finest. I love military ceremonies. BTW change of plans we will be back Friday if that's ok?!?! Ethan misses me too bad, hehe, ok I miss him too much too. and Jacks eczema flared up in the worst way when we got back to Alamogordo so in Jack's best interest we're going to head back!! I had so much fun, can't wait to see you all again!
But of course, you are welcome to stay whenever. As is anyone... hint, hint.
When I saw that last picture on the post of the delicious BBQ, I had to maximize it so that I could see the detail of the creamed corn and potatoes, etc. (Becky move over so I can see the food better).
The graduation was great to see and even brought a few tears to my eyes, because I didn't realize what a huge deal it is and I am so, so sorry that I missed Becky, Lizzie, and Markies due to economic reasons. I wish I had gone, no matter what.
And yes it was a wonderful weekend and I enjoyed EVERYTHING!! Even the motel that was only 1/2 a star. It was perfect for our very rowdy and fun loving group. We had the best time at the pool and playing 'Fairy Something" in the room. (It was a card game. Nothing else.)
And the Riverwalk. I want to bring everyone down to see that and the Alamo.
Thanks for the great trip.
Oh my gosh...isnt the creamed corn so WONDERFUL!!!
Wow! I can't believe how tall Ethan is!!!
I'm so dumb....I sat there for a minute thinking...Ethan isnt that tall, sure he is taller than everyone else but not that tall. Then I realized you were talking about Ethan Belanger...Der Weinerschnitzel
Ethan B. is getting tall. I can't wait to see him and the rest of the crew this summer.
