Sonny and Sue

This was from our trip to Boston this summer. We just finished our ice cream at Peaceful Meadows (the world-famous ice cream parlor/retirement home/cemetery) in Plymouth.

You are so funny! Which is better Ben and Jerry's or peaceful meadows? Which reminds me....

I dread the flavors that a retirement home/cemetary/ice cream parlor purveys.

- Dentucreme de menthe.
- Pralines and formaldehyde.
- "This could be your last, make it count" vanilla.

Grim.

The ice cream was very good. It was my first time there since I was laid up with a bad case of post-pizza-puking disorientation at the condo when the rest of the family went into Plymouth in 1989. Most things can't withstand 18 years of build-up, but Peaceful Meadows was truly the best ice cream ever. The Lobster Hut was also good, but that didn't suffer from as much build-up as it did from my natural skepticism of fruit de la mer. The lobster roll was very good, but at $9, I've had better hot dogs.
